Weekend Website #126: BrainPop Game Up

Every week, I share a website that inspired my students. Here’s one that I’ve found effective in… Here’s a great website to answer that question.

games

Age:

3rd-8th

Topic:

General

Address:

BrainPop Games

Review:

The gamification of education is well under way and BrainPop–the leader in educational videos–has embraced games as a great way to teach students concepts. This website includes edutationment games focused on:

  • science
  • math
  • social students
  • health
  • Englis

Why games, you might ask? As David McG says in Best Practices for Using Games & Simulations in the Classroom (PDF)

“Using games allows me to hit multiple learning styles in the same lesson in a much easier way than the normal classroom environment.”
